Where are they now: Springbok class of 1995 Rugby World Cup final
The Springboks will take on the All Blacks in the 2023 Rugby World Cup final - 28 years after they met in the title decider. The Springbok Rugby team from the 1995 Rugby World Cup final, which saw South Africa take on the All Blacks in the 2023 Rugby World Cups final, is set to compete against them in the final. The South African team won the only other time they met in a title decider, with South Africa's first participation in the World Cup since 1987. The Springboks would go on to win the tournaments in 2007 (in France) and 2019 (in Japan) and aim to win a record fourth title on Saturday, 28 October 2023. However, four of their team members have died, including flyhalf Joel Stranksy and coach Kitch Christie, who were part of the team that won the 1995 final.
